I was standing in front of the Mercer House, and sunrise deciding what to paint facing the Mercer House. When I turned around there was a breathtaking sunrise happening directly behind me... On the path next to the Pulaski monument. So I painted it it was calm and still and quiet in the morning, I try to translate the piece calm just before the busy day started on Tuesday morning. My focal point was the backlit trees and the path.
