Every year, I look forward to these early spring days when the azaleas are in bloom. Their beauty lasts for such a short time--only about two weeks when the weather is warm, and sometimes just a few days when it is cold. I simply cannot let those days pass without painting. This spring, I painted a whole series of works capturing the beauty of Savannah. For a short time, the city seems to transform into a fairytale world, where everything comes together so beautifully--the azaleas, the old oaks draped in Spanish moss, and my favorite vintage street lamps.I painted this series in 2026.
