Hip Tied (also known as Joined At The Hip) depicts a scene in the working waterman's village of Cortez, Florida. This painting received the Best Landscape Award in National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society (NOAPS) Small Works Exhibition 2003. And it received the Best Seascape Award at the Oil Painters of America (OPA) Exhibition that same year.
