I love farmer's markets for their color, vibrancy and spirit. This one's painted plein air which means I needed to figure out what was important to me in the scene ... and paint that first. Inevitably, whatever catches my eye is going to catch someone else's (and off it would go). The geraniums were it so painted first along with the purchaser who snatched them up. The grass would wait for me.
