The Plaza - $750
Bathed in neon since 1939, Briarcliff Plaza was the city’s first strip shopping center designed with outdoor parking. Once home to the infamous 24-hour Plaza Drugs, the center still anchors Atlanta history as the longtime home of the Plaza Theatre—the city’s oldest continuously operating movie house. Right next door sits the Majestic Diner, the place to seen (or not) at 3 a.m.
Friends of the Olmsted Plein Air Invitational play a vital role in this cultural landscape. They recognize and support living artists and events like the Olmsted, which introduce nationally and internationally recognized artists to collectors in Atlanta and beyond.
