I live in an area of North Georgia where industry and country-life mix, creating interesting blends. It had been a poor year for cotton and the exhausted plants were short and held to their rows. I stood on the verge and painted, so absorbed in the experience that I didn't notice the company of a group of deer until I moved to clean a brush. We startled each other. Oh, the joy of being an artist! This painting hung at the Georgia Capitol Building 2023-25. It placed in American Art Awards, at the Booth Artist Guild show and was short-listed in the Jackson's Painting Prize UK.
