Catch of the Day Award – Your Vote Counts!
The Catch of the Day Award kicks off Georgia Color with energy, conversation, and community. Presented on the second evening of the six-day event, this special honor is selected entirely by popular vote during the Artist Welcome Reception on Wednesday, October 15.

Eligible entries are paintings completed from the official start of the competition earlier in the week. Guests will have the unique opportunity to view freshly completed works, examine brushwork, technique, composition, and subject matter up close, and cast a vote for their personal favorite.

This award encourages dialogue between patrons and artists, inviting attendees to think critically about artistic choices while celebrating the spontaneity and talent of plein air painting. It's a lively, participatory evening that sets the tone for the days ahead—making Catch of the Day not just an award, but an experience.
