There is a golf course here just across the lake, and we watch the eagles every year raise their young. The father is sitting waiting for the opportunity to snatch up a meal to bring back to the nest. I love to paint the eagles, however they never last very long in my inventory. I will always have to paint another when one moves on to a new home. I just don't feel the same without one in the back ground of my studio. In this one I was studying the color and types of feathers that he had on him, as well as the fog that we see so much up high in the tall pines around the water.
